Are you feeling anxious with the uncertainty of the world and worry about “what else is gonna happen next?” (secretly)?
Even if you don’t want to let yourself in on all the fear, can you still feel it and wonder how you’ll even be able to handle more changes?
This blog is to offer you another perspective, to share your pain, while helping you feel hopeful and generally better in this moment.
I feel blue. I feel the emptiness of not knowing why it’s all happening, and how to even process all that is shifting in the world, especially as it keeps changing daily.
As I watch the snowflakes fall down from the sky and brush away the air in front of the window, my mind is numb yet my eyes are looking for answers through the landscape.
The world is sick. It feels as if humanity crossed the line of excess… excess of consumption, excess of animal mistreatment, excess of wanting everything for yesterday, excess of impatience for the future, excess of individuality. And the illness that is sickening the weaker across the entire planet, is a result of that line crossing. That is what it feels like to me.
BUT…
I am not a researcher or a scientist, and I’m not here to talk about why coronavirus even happened in the first place and why it’s happening on a global and energetic, even spiritual, level. I’m here to share with you a feeling that I am sure I am not the only one to have. I am also here to keep the discussion as positive, as uplifting and as hopeful as possible.
I truly and deeply feel sorry for those who are directly affected by the illness, and those who are losing loved ones from this sickness over which we have no control. My heart is aching and because of this uncontrollable force, like a heavy wave pulling you into the ocean, I feel the pain of humanity.
As you are reading these lines, I invite you to check in with yourself and ask:
– How am I?
– How am I really feeling in this global pandemic that suddenly arrived in my life, and in the lives of others?
– Where in my body am I feeling any emotion about the unknown, the uncertainty and the fear of worst case scenarios?
B r e a t h e.
One very efficient way to not let in to the fear caused by the media and uninformed gossip, is to check in with yourself in this way.
You have all of the answers inside of you.
Being afraid, feeling like the world is falling on top of you, feeling panic and anxiety in times like these are all a choice. It might not be an easy choice to not make, or to even notice that you chose it in the first place, I know. I am human too.
I feel anxious, and I feel fear creeping up on me sometimes. But I know that choice is more powerful, and that I can choose to recognize that it is happening, choose to live through the emotion, through the sensation, and to choose the opposite so to attract abundance, love, reassurance, hope and release of any externally and self-induced pressure.
Apart from the above self-reflective questions, I invite you to just choose to NOT engage with and let the “oh my god what will happen next“ or the “everything is happening to me!” thoughts take over. The coronavirus is a situation out of your control but your thoughts are (mostly) in your control. Once we recognize that we have choice of thought, it becomes easier to feel lighter, more detached, and more at peace mentally about something we have no control over like the global pandemic situation.
I’m not suggesting that we don’t recognize that the uncertainty is there and just wanting it to disappear but rather I am suggesting that we choose to think something like “there is a solution “and “how is this an opportunity for adaptation and new possibility?“ and “I wonder who else is feeling in this way with whom I can feel supported and whom I can support“.

These are simple ways to change your energy around things that are happening outside of you but that you are affected by. I am standing right by your side. Even as we, most of us, isolate from social gatherings either by force or by choice, we can come together as a community to release anxiety and restore calm, together.
I invite you to a free 7-day self-care supportive online challenge (even if you have no idea how to do that), as I will guide you daily into easy and simple effective self-care tips that you can do right now, as you are in isolation, or working from home, or finding yourself changing your weekly activities. It starts Friday March 20th, 2020 and is meant to support driven women who are always on the go and don’t know how to stop. I know we all have to resort to being creative about spending our time at home, but I also know that you don’t want to spend the next two weeks in front of Netflix lowering your energy and motivation. Right?
Register to this free challenge by clicking here so you can feel hopeful and healthy during these times of change and uncertainty. I’m truly grateful for you, and I’m looking forward to sharing the next seven days with you starting on March 20, 2020.
